The Tseminyu District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting took place at the DC’s Official Chamber on Friday under the chairmanship of Ar. Jwenga Seb, MLA of 12A/C Tseminyu, DIPR informed.
Dr Tinojongshi Chang, DC and Vice-chairman of DPDB Tseminyu, welcomed all the members and expressed gratitude to all officers for the successful celebration of Independence Day in the district. The MLA urged members to maintain their regular attendance, emphasizing their satisfactory record to date. The meeting commenced with a review of the minutes from the previous session.
Given its status as a new district, substantial work lies ahead. The following key points were discussed and decisions made:
MoU with Yotta Agro– The memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Yotta Agro Venture Private Limited, aimed at enhancing livelihoods, was approved by the house.
Land Acquisition for Various Offices- The need for land to establish several offices in Tseminyu District was addressed, including: a) District Hospital b) Government College c) Land Resources Development Office d) Power Substation and Emergency Fire Service Office for managing the natural calamities e) Rural Self-Employment Training Institute f) Park g) RD Block Chunlikha h) Staff Quarters for Police Personnel j) District Sericulture Office
A proposal for the establishment of the District Sericulture Office was also discussed during the DPDB meeting, with plans to submit it to the government for approval.
