Tseminyu DPDB recommends officially recognizing district as ‘economically backward’

Tseminyu: Administration grants no objection certificate for construction of SP office at the present 4th NAP Camp

The monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting took place on Thursday at Tesophenyu Community Hall, DIPR informed. Chaired by Jwenga Seb, MLA and Chairman of DPDB Tseminyu, the meeting focused on key developments and recommendations for the district.

Notable attendees included Dr Tinojungshi Chang, the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman of DPDB Tseminyu. The following important matters were discussed during the meeting:

After reviewing the minutes from the previous DPDB meeting, several agendas were recommended by members including, creation of a Veterinary Health Centre at Tesophenyu; upgradation of the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Tesophenyu to a Community Health Centre (CHC); establishment of a Health sub-centre in New Tesophenyu Village; upgradation of the road from Nsunyu Village to Gukhanyu Village under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY); and furnishing of the DPDB hall.

The members also recommended that the Tseminyu District be officially recognized as economically backward.

The administration granted a no objection certificate for the construction of a Superintendent of Police (SP) office at the present 4th NAP Camp in Tseminyu.
