Tsüngremmong Cum Inauguration of Captain Imliakum (MVC) Memorial Stone was held at Chuchuyimpang Village with S Supongmeren Jamir, MP Lok Sabha, gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest, Brigadier Vikram Singh DIG, HQ 7 Sector, Assam Rifles and Er. Moasanen Imsong, EAC as the Guests of Honour.
Chief Guest S. Supongmeren Jamir highlighted the significance of the Tsüngremmong festival for the Ao community, emphasizing the need for personal and communal sanctification to receive God’s blessings. He underscored the importance of unity, stating, “Where there is unity, there is Victory and Blessings,” and encouraged everyone to work together, without focusing on who is first or last, to achieve success.
Jamir pointed out that sanctifying oneself, family, and surroundings has been a traditional practice among the Ao people to ensure a bountiful harvest, dedicating everything to God. He stressed the necessity of waiting patiently for God’s plan and urged leaders and community members alike to fulfill their duties.
He further emphasized that living in unity is crucial for success and urged the community to set positive examples for the younger generations by working together harmoniously. Jamir cautioned against hatred, as it hinders progress and success, and called on everyone to praise, embrace, and love each other, fostering a spirit of hard work and unity.
Jamir concluded by encouraging the community to unite during the festival and beyond, involving various groups such as Senso, councils, and churches, to guide and lead the younger generations on the path of unity and success.
In his address, Er. Moasanen Imsong emphasized the importance of celebrating the Tsüngremmong festival with purity and blessings from God, as practiced since the forefathers’ time. He urged the community to prioritize eliminating hatred, as it only brings destruction and not harmony.
Imsong highlighted the need for love and forgiveness, pointing out that the Ao people, despite being pioneers, still struggle with love within families, friendships, society, and the community. He stressed that there are many speakers but very few workers, emphasizing the importance of unity, peace, and joy through mutual support and love, even for enemies as taught in the Bible.
Reflecting on the shift from agricultural work during the forefathers’ time to modern education, Imsong urged the community to embrace the changes while maintaining strong bonds of love and acknowledging each other’s talents and flaws. He called for a positive mindset and heart, emphasizing the need for people who are passionate about their professions and work diligently.
Imsong concluded by encouraging the community to bless God for all the successful individuals and professionals and to strive for genuine dedication in their respective fields, rather than pursuing careers for the sake of status.
