The Tsütuonuomia Khel (T.khel)  Day was celebrated today at Mission Compound,Kohima. Dr.Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, Advisor, School Education and SCERT graced the celebration as the Special Guest.

Dr. Yhome, in his speech, mentioned that unity and understanding has brought everyone together and expressed the hope the unity and harmony will continue. Highlighting the history of the warriors of T.Khel, Dr Yhome drew attention to the good practices and nature of the village and the important role it plays in creating an ideal village and even a State.

Guest of honour,  MLA Dr.Tseilhoutuo (Ato) in his speech assured to work for the people as he promised during his election campaign, appealing the gathering to continue to uphold unity and understanding.

Meanwhile, Neibou Sekhose mentioned that the khel day is  celebrated to instill unity and understanding among the community. “This is also a day of forgiveness and to create harmony with each other. There is no true happiness if there is no peace, understanding and unity among ourselves,” stated Sekhose. He also appealed the T.khel to work for the betterment of not only the village but the State, and further encourage the gathering to be a good example to other people, be it in community, village or state level.

During the celebration, Thejanuo Solo performed the Tsütuonuomia Anthem composed by Linda and Vilhoukho-o Solo, while Methaneilie Jutakhrie  enthralled  the crowd with his hit song ‘Kekhrie’.

The program was blessed with an invocation by Dr. Rev Rachülie Vihienuo while the vote of thanks was pronounced by Er.Kelhousinyii Solo
