Tuensang Town Baptist Lashong (TTBL) on Saturday visited senior citizens under the church in Tuensang town who live alone and have no one to take care of them.

TTBL Associate Pastor women K Achung Chang highlighted about the church’s old age ministry works. She said visiting senior citizens was a great blessing for them and the visiting team cleans their homes, offer emotional comfort fostering intergenerational connection and promoting well-being for the senior citizens. She said when helping with household tasks, they considered to create a cleaning schedule to make the process manageable.

The visitation provides the elderly with valuable companionship, reducing the loneliness and isolation that they face.

She shared it was a great opportunity and heartwarming to visit a senior citizen’s home and

interact with them. The visiting team from the church also had a time of prayer with the elderly.

Chang said catering to the spiritual needs of the elderly is essential to give them hope, meaning and peace.
