The 2nd literary meet of Chingmei Range Students’ Council (CRSC) was held on Saturday under the theme “Concoction of Intellectuals” at Yimpang Urban Sochem, Tuensang Town.

CRSC is a students’ body comprising of 6 villages under Tuensang Village, namely: Chingmei, New Chingmei, Waoshu, Yimpang, Taknyu and Saddle

Speaking at the event, Langa Somba, President of CRSC, stressed that our well-being depends on human connection. He said that all the six villages were equally important and were the backbone of the community. He also commended the bond that the villages share.

Somba encouraged the participants by telling them that all individuals are gifted with a unique set of talents and potential and hoped that the students find their talents, shine and excel through the literary event.

Competitions were held under five categories – Chang poetry writing; Painting; Extempore speech; Solo; Reverse debate.

The moderators of the event were Anti, Education & Statistics Secretary and Tochumong, Assistant Education & Statistics Secretary.

The invocation was pronounced by Mache, Home Evangelist, TTBL; melodies from Chabou; vote of thanks by Chongshen, Ex – Chairman CRSC.

The winners were awarded with certificates were also given out to all the participants.
