The Tuensang District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held at DC’s Conference Hall Tuensang today.
The meeting was chaired by Kumar Ramnikant, Vice Chairman DPDB and Deputy Commissioner Tuensang.
The Executive Engineer of National Highways updated the members present in the meeting on the 50% repair completion of the Dikhu Bridge between Tuensang and Mokukchung road. He also updated the meeting outcome of PWD (NH) and NHIDCL regarding the zero point to 95km toward Tuensang. The engineer informed about the missing bolts and nuts of the bridges between Tuensang to Mokukchung for which an FIR has been filed at Police Station Longkhim.
The meeting attendees were also informed on Ni-kshay Mitra, a programme under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) which calls for community support in eradicating TB in India.
Ni-kshay is a web enabled patient management system for TB control used by health administrators in the public and private sector across the country. The system is used to:
- Register cases under the care of health functionaries
- Order different types of tests from labs across the country
- Record treatment details
- Monitor treatment adherence
- Transfer cases between care providers
The DPDB members were called to come forward by the CMO office to assist the 181 existing TB patients in the district.
The DC of Tuensang encouraged all the district HoDs to impart departmental practical education to school students. He also asked them to report on the programme initiated by the departments in the schools at every DPDB Meeting.
Ramnikant further informed all the Heads of Offices to get ready with the employment list and the list of departmental vehicles for election purposes.
He also invited them to the launching programme of the Chief Ministers Health Insurance Schemes which will be held at the DC Office.
The members at the DPDB meeting were also informed about the forthcoming interdepartmental sports week which will be held from 22 October onwards. The event will include competitions in table tennis, badminton, carrom and chess.
