In commemoration of World Environment day, a mass social work will be conducted on 5th June 2024 at Tuensang Town from 6:00 am onwards. The mass social work will be conducted emphasising on plastic waste management targeting Single Use of Plastic (SUP) informed DIPR.
Thungchanbemo Tungoe, ADC Tuensang, has directed all the head of offices/ institution and all the 13 wards of Tuensang Town to actively participate in the mass social work.

Additionally, the ward with the highest collection of segregated Single Use Plastic SUPs/MLPs (Straw, food package, chips packets, sweets and tobacco packet, disposable cutleries, carry bags and pet bottle etc.) in kilograms shall be declared the winner and will be awarded with cash prize of Rs. 5000/-.
The plastic waste shall be weighed at Parade Ground, Tuensang.
