The two days training on Public Address System commenced at the Directorate of Information & Public Relations on Thursday, February 22, at the DIPR Conference Hall in Kohima.

According to DIPR, the training is imparted to Technical Supervisors, Senior Operators, Operators and Assistant Operators from six districts of Kohima, Dimapur, Wokha, Mokokchung, Phek and Peren in the first phase and five more districts including Zunheboto, Tuensang, Longleng, Mon and Kiphire in the second phase.

Director, Information & Public Relations, Dzüvinuo Theünuo, in her inaugural address, encouraged the trainees to be diligent in their work and to take due and proper care of the PA systems.

The trainees were also addressed by senior officials of the Department and were encouraged to be diligent and confident at their job.

The practical session of the program includes hands-on training on PA systems including Amplifier, Speaker, Mixer connections, Drive Unit connections, LMT, Battery series connections etc.
