At least two people were killed, and four vehicles damaged in a major rockslide incident in Nagaland’s Chümoukedima district.
The incident took place on the National Highway-29 between Chümoukedima Police check gate and New Chümoukedima Village on Tuesday evening, blocking all vehicular traffic.

One male Khiamniungan driver was confirmed spot dead while one individual succumbed to injuries on the way to the nearest hospital.
Commissioner of Police Dimapur, Kevithuto Sophie confirming this report also informed that the rescue team is still trying to retrieve one individual and cannot say whether the person will survive or not.
Sophie informed that the incident took place around 5:30 pm and that two had died, one was under rescue, while two had been hospitalised.
Till the filing of this report the total number of injured persons was yet to be ascertained and the details of the deceased are also awaited.
