Two IR personnel dies on election duty amid surging heat wave in Bihar, Dy.CM Patton condoles

Two NAP (IR) personnel are reported to have passed away on May 26 and May 31 due to the surging heat wave while on election duty in the State of Bihar.

Bihar has witnessed surging heatwave conditions in the last few days with the temperature exceeding 44 degrees Celsius. The death toll has reportedly reached 19.

Nagaland Deputy CM and Minister incharge for Home Department, Y Patton has condoled the death of the two NAP (IR), personnel on election duty in Bihar, on different occasions.

Patton informed that Constable Akangluba died on May 26 while Hav. Nikiye Sumi died on May 31.

“The two soldiers who died on duty will be remembered for their tireless devotion towards the force and the country,” stated Patton. On behalf of the entire rank and file of the police department, the Dy.CM conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls to rest in peace.
