The Tzüsapang sector in Mokokchung Village celebrated its Silver Jubilee, commemorating 25 years since its establishment on 30th August. The event, themed “Telungjem Ajanga Tejakleni,” meaning “Progressing Together in Unity,” was held at the Community Hall and was graced by the presence of T. N. Mannen, IAS (Retd.), who currently serves as the Advisor for Law & Justice and Land Revenue, as the Chief Guest.

In his address, T. N. Mannen, who is also a resident of the Tzüsapang sector, reflected on the unique harmony that exists within the community. He highlighted that the sector represents a microcosm where people from all six Ao ranges and various communities live together peacefully, devoid of divisions or discrimination. He noted that such unity is vital for nurturing peace of mind and promoting a spirit of goodwill among all residents.

The Advisor regarded the Silver Jubilee as a time for introspection and celebration, acknowledging the progress and achievements made by the sector over the past quarter-century. He encouraged the community to look forward with ambition, striving for greater accomplishments in the years to come. He called upon every resident to take pride in their sector and to work together to enhance both social bonds and infrastructure.

In addition, Mannen paid tribute to the American missionaries for their pivotal role in fostering unity among the Ao tribe. He recounted that before the arrival of the missionaries, the Ao villages were often engaged in conflicts and were largely isolated from one another. The missionaries, he said, helped to instill a spirit of peace and harmony, enabling the Ao’s to live together amicably.

Founded in 1999 under the jurisdiction of the Mokokchung village Jungli Kosa Sanger Putu Menden, the Tzüsapang sector is the second oldest among the seven sectors that surround Mokokchung village.
