Ajit Kumar Ranjan, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, called a meeting with the chairman of all colonies, GBs and political parties under Wokha town on 8th June, 2024 at Deputy Commissioner conference hall. Superintendent of Police and Returning Officer (RO) & ADC Wokha also attended the meeting informed DIPR.
The DC appealed all the colony leaders to extend support and co-operation for the peaceful, free and fair conduct of the forthcoming ULB election during the meeting. He informed the leaders that a committee will be constituted with representatives from all colonies and political parties to maintain proper co-ordination and dissemination of information to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of the ULB election in the district.
The DC also informed the leaders that no outsiders or voters whose names are not registered in the electoral roll are to stay out of the colonies during the election process to maintain peaceful atmosphere.

Aotula T Imchen, Superintendent of Police, Wokha, also appealed to the attendees to maintain peaceful atmosphere in their respective colonies and wards to ensure that no law and order situation is created during the electioneering process and assured fullest co-operation so that election are conducted in total fairness.
Furhesie Nyuwi, RO & ADC, Wokha, K. during the meeting apprised the leaders about the guidelines relating to Model Code of Conduct (MCC), campaigning process and other important information in regard to the ULB election. He also appealed the leaders to extend assistance during the distribution of voters slip which will be done by the Sector Officials.
The meeting unanimously resolved that “Show-off strength/force” will be totally banned during the scrutiny for smooth and peaceful conduct of the election.
