ULB Polls: Training for polling officers conducted at Peren, Mokokchung and Pfutsero

PEREN

To ensure smooth conduct of ULB election, a final phase of training for polling officers was held at Peren Town hall on Friday, DIPR informed.

ADC & RO, Peren, Japheth Woch pointed out the mistake and errors made in the last Lok Sabha election and also congratulated the polling officers for the successful conduct of the Lok Sabha election. He emphasized and encouraged the officers to be sincere and perform their assigned duty in polite manner.

He said ULB election is crucial as compared to last Lok Sabha elections and as the RO of the district; he stand firm to extend help to all the polling officers in every possible ways whenever needs arises.  He also gave a brief highlight on the rules and procedures which is to be strictly adhered by all and reminded the officers to perform their duty with utmost sincerity and refrain from making errors.

Earlier, Nodal officer for training management, Albert in his welcome address extended his appreciation to all the polling officers present in the training program.

More than 100 polling officials attended the training. Hieramchube and Albert was the Master Trainer for the final phase training.

MOKOKCHUNG

The 2nd Phase training for all polling personnel under Mokokchung district for the upcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) election 2024 was held at Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung on 21st June 2024.

Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung Thsuvisie Phoji while interacting with the designated polling personnel during the programme urges all to take up the responsibilities assigned so as to ensure a free and fair election in the district. He also mentioned that as the ballot paper voting is a new concept for most of the polling officials and the voters, he maintains that the trainees should assure that the voters are making aware of the voting procedure.

PFUTSERO

Pfutsero, Sub-Division Administration conducted the 2nd phase training for ULB election polling personnel at ADC Conference Hall on 21st June 2024. Later, training for counting personnel, Counting Supervisors, Counting Assistants and tabulators was also conducted at the same venue. Moakumzuk Tsudir Returning Officer for Pfutsero town council and Wedete Kapfo Assistant Professor, Pfutsero College briefed the polling personnel during the training.
