MLA and Naga People’s Front Secretary General Achumbemo Kikon said that it is unethical on the part of accused persons who have tried to transport ammunition in the state of Manipur from Nagaland.
He said the accused persons should be dealt according to the provision of law and an action befitting to the crime which they have committed should be initiated by the government of Nagaland.
“Such kind of injurious activities should be discourage and proper action should be taken,” added Kikon.
When asked what role NPF can play to bring peace in Manipur, Kikon informed that the NPF establishment is active in the state of Manipur in reaching out to the various communities to sit across the table so that a congenial atmosphere should be created and an amicable solution be arrived at instead of resorting to violence.
“We believe that a situation of this nature and its healing touch so, therefore this is a party where we believe in peaceful resolution of all conflict and towards this end our party also making all effort in restoring peace in the state of Manipur,” he said.
Kikon pointed out that a dialogue should be initiated sitting across the table and talking out the issue.
Kikon also appealed and requested both the community to sit across the table and reason together and find an amicable solution.
