Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Nagaland on 6 January.
Upon his arrival, he will inaugurate a series of projects from Nousi Auditorium Hall, Niathu Resort, Chümoukedima in the presence of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, ministers, advisors and other government officials. He will also deliver a speech during the programme.
After the inaugural programme, Shah will be briefed on the security by the state officials and the Assam Rifles, following which the home minister will hold meetings with the chief minister and BJP party office bearers.
Significantly, the Union Home Minister is also scheduled to meet Dr S C Jamir, former Governor of Odisha and Maharashtra, at his private residence after meeting with the state party office bearers.
