Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ramdas Athawale, laid the foundation stone for Naga Mandi at Seithekema-A under Chümoukedima district today in the presence of Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.
The Naga Mandi, a wholesale market complex, an initiative of Rural Agro Farms Limited Liability Partnership (RAF LLP) in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, Nagaland, will connect farmers directly to larger markets, ensure fair pricing and foster sustainable and efficient agricultural supply chain for the region.
In a post on X platform, the Chief Minister said that the Naga Mandi will bring opportunity for revenue generation, while contributing to the agricultural and economic development of Nagaland, and foster a sustainable and inclusive environment for the local community.
The Union Minister arrived in Dimapur today on a two-day visit to the State.
