United FC Piphema and F4C Academy got through to the quarter final of the 23rd NSF Martyrs’ Trophy in Kohima after winning their respective matches on Monday.
In the first match, United FC Piphema downed Nagaland University by 2-1. Razoukhrielie (13) scored a goal in the 12th minute for United FC Piphema, Shanti Y Konyak (10) equalized the goal in the 20th minute. The winning goal for United FC Piphema was scored by Ayen Manga (7) in the 37th minute.

Man of the Match was awarded to Joyson Rhi (3) of United FC Piphema the award was handed over by Seyieneilhou Keyho, former Angami Students’ Union and Executive and President of Chakhroma Youth Organisation.
In the second match of the day of the pre-quarter final at 23rd NSF Martyrs’ Trophy, F4C Academy defeated Jakhama Youth Organisation 2-1. Ntselo (6) scored the first goal for JYO in the 37th minute of the game, Kamgouhao Doungle (11) of F4C academy equalised the score in the 49th minute. The winning goal for F4C came through the boots of Seigongin Chongloi (6) in the 75th minute.
In the highly competitive game, tempers also flared resulting in Thonggoumang Touthang (10) of F4C Academy being cautioned with a yellow card in the 43rd minute and Panger Sunep (2) of JYO in the 71th minute.
Khaiminlen Touthang (1) of F4C academy was awarded man of the match and the award was handed over by Eno Khriezelhou Vitso, former ASU Executive and Co-convenor, 23rd NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy.
On Tuesday, in the last pre quarter final match, Red Scars FC VS Viswemi FC at 1:30 pm.
