Kohima: Seven examiners from various eminent govt institutions from different states invited to conduct exam

Minister of Health and Family Welfare P. Paiwang Konyak extended his best wishes to all students in the first batch of MBBS at the Nagaland Institute of Medical Science and Research (NIMSR), Kohima, as their first examination commenced on Thursday under Nagaland University.

Konyak stated that as first batch of the college, the students are setting a foundation for future generation.

It was informed through a press release that the one hundred students who got admitted in 2023 are sitting for the first MBBS examination which will conclude on 2nd August 2024 while practical examination will be held from 7th-9th August 2024.

Seven examiners from various eminent government institutions from different states were invited to conduct the practical examination along with the internal examination, it further stated. Counselling for the current year (2024-25) is expected to be begin shortly.

The Minister’s office also expressed confidence that 152 MBBS seats (Central pool 42, NEC pool 25 and NIMSR 85) would be allotted for the state for the next academic session just as last year. It is to inform all the candidates that Surety Bond for compulsory service upon graduation will be implemented, it added.
