The United Sangtam Likhüm Pümji (USLP) issued a press release today voicing their unanimous support of the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) resolution adopted on 26 August 2022.

“In line with the ENPO decision, USLP will abstain from participating in any election process of the state or central until demand for separate statehood for ‘Frontier Nagaland’ is fulfilled,” stated the USLP.

The Sangtam organisation also wrote that, in accordance with the ENPO’s resolution, it would ban all political parties from participating in “any election related campaign/activities and candidate declaration program in any manner within USLP jurisdiction.”
