The United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) has written to the Commissioner and Secretary, School Education Nagaland, appealing for the urgent posting of a new Sub-Divisional Education Officer (SDEO) in Longkhim.
“The absence of a substantive officer has caused significant disruptions in the smooth functioning of schools and the educational administration in the region,” stated the USSC in the letter.
The absence of this critical officer has resulted in delayed implementation of educational policies, inadequate monitoring, and poor evaluation of school performance. The USSC emphasized that the department’s inability to fill this post has severely impacted the education system, leaving students vulnerable and without proper guidance.
The USSC, led by Vice President Adekhing I Sangtam and Assistant General Secretary Tsathrongli T Sangtam, has urged the authorities to prioritize filling this vacancy, considering the vital role of the SDEO in ensuring quality education.
