VBSY held at Khensa village and Thonoknyu

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), a programme of the Govt. of India initiatives, launched on November 15, 2023 was observed at Khensa Village on January 22, informed the DIPR. Advisor, IPR & Soil & Water Conservation, Nagaland, Imkong L. Imchen as the Special Guest.

VBSY aims to saturate the benefits of central government schemes across the country, ensuing that the benefits of these schemes reach all beneficiaries within a defined time frame.

Speaking on the occasion, Imkong L. Imchen, Advisor, IPR & Soil & Water Conservation, Nagaland said that the vision of the Prime Minister of India is to transform the nation into a developed entity by the centenary of its independence in 2047. The programme also focused in bringing the economic difference between the Rural and Urban areas, encompassing diverse facets of development such as economic prosperity, social advancement, environmental sustainability and effective governance.

Imchen also asked the Village Councils attending the programme to come forward with how different departments in the district are implementing the Central Schemes in their respective villages. Lead by the Advisor, the participants took a joint pledge of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.

The programme also witnessed success stories by beneficiaries under various Schemes, Cultural performance, Felicitation of Achievers by various Departments, Awareness of various Schemes, Screening of Recorded message of Prime Minister on VBSY, Photo session and Quiz, On-Spot registration of beneficiaries: Aadhar, PM-UJJWALA, PMMVY and various Schemes, Health Camp and TB Screening. The programme was chaired by Seyievilie Pfukri, EAC, while vote of thanks was proposed by Asst. Commissioner, Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar, IAS.

In the post-program media conference, Advisor Imkong L Imchen conveyed his understanding of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to transform India into a developed nation and economy by 2047. He praised the innovative nature of the centrally sponsored flagship programs, emphasizing their importance in achieving the ambitious goals set by the PM.

While acknowledging the effectiveness of research schemes and applauding the target-oriented innovations, Imchen highlighted the crucial role of implementation at the state and departmental levels. He urged concerned departments and states to prioritize thoughtful execution to ensure the full realization of program objectives, contributing to India’s development into a strong economy by 2047.

THONOKNYU

The Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra for Thonoknyu Sub-Division was held at Pang public ground on January 20.

Obed BPM, NSRLM and Day Nodal Officer chaired the program while the welcome address was delivered by VCC Pang K. Huamo. Recorded message of the Prime Minister was displayed and the Sankalp (pledge) was taken by all the member presence. Meri Kahani Mari zubani, experience was shared by the successful beneficiaries from all the departments.

Folk song/ dance presentation by NSRLM Thonoknyu. Felicitation of women achievers was performed by NSRLM Thonoknyu. Vote of thanks was proposed by VDB Secy. M. Thangpong followed by Stop Camp as annexure by the Departments.
