Nagaland produced one of the most commanding batting displays of the 2025–26 Vijay Hazare Trophy posting a massive 399/4 against Mizoram on December 29 at JSCA Oval Ground, Ranchi, which is also the second-highest total of the ongoing season. Their innings was powered by two outstanding centuries.

Nischal D led the charge with a dominant 182 off 130 balls, showcasing clean hitting and complete control throughout.

A major highlight of the match was Sedezhalie’s exceptional 124 off 118 balls — a composed, technically assured innings that provided the perfect balance to Nischal’s aggression. His century not only strengthened Nagaland’s position but also displayed his growing stature as a key top-order batter this season.

For Mizoram the top bowler was Karthik C A – 2/82 (10.0)

Chasing a daunting 399, Mizoram struggled to keep up with the rising pressure despite a gritty fight led by Sahil Reza, who scored an impressive 104 off 105 balls. His lone resistance held the innings together, but the lack of strong partnerships at the other end meant the chase never gained momentum.

Nagaland’s bowling unit maintained discipline throughout, with Imliwati and Akavi dismantling the Mizoram lineup through consistent line and length. Their combined six wickets ensured Mizoram were bowled out for 222, securing a massive win for Nagaland.

The top scorers was Sahil Reza – 104 (105) while for Nagaland the top bowlers were Imliwati – 3/35 (10.0) and Akavi – 3/36 (9.0)
