The Rising People’s Party (RPP) has today condemned the post election celebration by NDPP party workers in Dimapur where they are seen throwing money in videos circulated in social medium.
“Videos of Mammonistic celebrations involving Christians throwing money of various denominations from an open vehicle and a balcony being circulated in social media is highly condemnable. Such vulgar and shameless celebrations by the NDPP party workers of Wards 10 and 20, Dimapur, is unheard of in our culture and alien to our ethos,” stated the RPP.
While accepting the verdict of the people, the RPP reminded the NDPP-BJP coalition to condemn the ugly celebrations of their party workers post-election results.
The party also stated in a press release issued today, “While the PDA is free to spin its own tales, the number of wins for the NDPP-BJP candidates in the ULB elections does not necessarily mean that it’s an overwhelming mandate for the opposition-less government led by CM Neiphiu Rio.”

It addressed the ruling NDPP to condemn these reprehensible actions. “Time and again the NDPP has claimed itself to be the defender of Naga “Faith and Identity”, most recently during the Lok Sasha elections. However, everything in the videos points to paganistic and mammonic celebrations which is totally against our tradition and deeply offensive to our faith. It’s time the NDPP walk the talk and condemn such orgiastic display of behavior by its rank and file,” added the RPP.
