Kekhrie Krotho conducted the Khuzama Experience event with the theme “Walking the ancient path” on December 16. The inugural was held at the Khuzama Village Panchayat hall. The Khuzama experience is a unique project which aims to explore and educate the cultural and traditional practices of the village.

The Project Director of TAFMA, Hovithal Sothu, served as the inaugural guest and expressed his excitement for the initiative. He emphasized its positive impact on tourism in the village and highlighted how it symbolizes unity and solidarity within the community. Sothu also stressed the importance of self-sufficiency and encouraged individuals to explore a variety of opportunities beyond just pursuing government jobs. Given the saturated job market and the increasing number of graduates, he underscored the need for alternative pathways to succeed and thrive.

He said that In today’s fast-paced world, many young individuals have become accustomed to avoiding manual labor, making it increasingly challenging. However, our village holds significant tourism potential, providing an opportunity for someone to focus on its development and generate employment for the youth. While progress may be slow, it is achievable, and the community is encouraged to engage with the opportunities presented by the tourism sector.

During his speech, event host Nunese Sale emphasized the historic importance of the day for the people of Khuzama. He also highlighted that it was the inaugural “The Khuzama Experience” walk, showcasing the ancient path and holding a momentous place in Khuzama’s history.
