The Wancho Region of NSCN (IM) has clarified that one surrendered female cadre, Shikngam Wangpan, claiming to be Corporal of NSCN (IM) before the Assam Rifles of Khonsa in Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh was an ex-Naga Army and was duly discharged from active national service on April 2, 2024.

Caretaker/CAO, Wancho Region, Wangphun Wangsa said that she has become a public with effect from the issuance of discharged order from the competent GPRN authority and expressed gratitude for her selfless contribution for the Naga nation.

He also alleged that the Assam Rifles have presented a concocted and false narrative.

The Wancho Region also requested the media outlet to verify every claims before any publication for ethical journalism.
