The Western Chakhesang Hoho (WCH) has expressed shock and outrage over the assault committed against an innocent female Nursing student, a valued member of the community, within the premises of District Hospital, Dimapur. The Hoho, in a press statement today, asserted that the grievous Incident perpetrated by a male employee of the same institution has left the victim enduring physical assault with severe injury and emotionally traumatized.
“This horrific act of violence is not just an attack on an individual; it is an assault on the fundamental values of our society. Such brutality has no place in a modern, civilized world, and the WCH strongly condemns it in the most unequivocal terms and demands stringent punishment for the accused. This violation not only infringes upon the victim’s basic rights but also undermines the dignity and safety of women, tarnishing the integrity of our entire community,” stated the Hoho.
The WCH also expressed concern over the alarming security lapses within the hospital premises. “A healthcare facility should be a sanctuary where the safety of students, staff, and visitors is paramount. The fact that such a heinous crime occurred in a supposedly secure environment demands immediate and thorough attention,” expressed the WCH.
