The Western Angami Dobashi Association (WADA) has condemned the 18th May incident where Lt. Kezhalelie Lawrence Miasalhou and his son Thejavizo Miasalhou were man handled and the former succumbed to his injuries.

“The Association is further anguished and rather disturbed that a man of Miasalhou’s stature holding a high rank in the Government Administration is brutally beaten to death in the heart of Kohima town by local goons. This gruesome act reflects that if an officer is no more safe, then, there is no security guarantee for an ordinary person’s life in the State’s capital,” stated the WADA in a condemnation note issued by President Visakhole Nisa and General Secretary Neivilhoutuo John Sechü

Condemning the criminal act of murder committed by the two youth, the WADA  appealed to the competent authority to expedite and punish the criminals with the highest level under the section of Indian Penal Code relevant to murder case. The Association further warned that any individual or organisation/group trying to manipulate or bring foul play in the way of justice will not be tolerated.

“Lt. Miasalhou is a bonafide member of the Western Angami Dobashi Association, holding the position of Political Assistant to the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima. He is an upright man with integrity. His demise has created a void within the Association. The Association shares our grief with the family of the deceased, and we further pray that the Almighty God will comfort and grant solace to the bereaved family during this hour of grief and sorrow,” expressed the WADA.
