The Western Sümi Hoho (WSH) and its frontal organizations has expressed distress over the death threat issued by NSCN/GPRN (Khango) to KKB Rülho over a tax related dispute.

“This reaction is unacceptable and puts the lives of our people at risk. We cannot allow disagreements over taxation to escalate into violence and intimidation,” stated the WSH in a press release issued by its media cell.

The Hoho also expressed concern on the strong reaction from NSCN/GPRN (Khango) following the Angami Youth Organisation’s (AYO) declaration of non-cooperation.

“Furthermore, the NSCN/GPRN (Khango) directing all contractors working under the purview of Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) to temporarily suspend operations, demobilize their personnel, and remove their equipment and machinery from other districts is an unnecessary escalation that will only lead to more harm and suffering for our people. This move has the potential to disrupt the fragile peace and undermine the progress we have made towards development and prosperity,” asserted the Hoho.

It urged the NSCN/GPRN (Khango) to immediately withdraw the death threat and seek a peaceful resolution to the tax dispute through dialogue and negotiation. The Organisation also appealed AYO to engage in constructive dialogue to find a mutually beneficial solution.

“Let us work together to find peaceful solutions to our differences and avoid actions that may jeopardize the hard-earned peace in our state. The WSH and its frontal organizations appeal to all parties to exercise restraint and prioritize the well-being of the Naga people. We must work towards a peaceful and prosperous future for all, free from violence, intimidation, and fear,” mentioned the WSH.

The Müluo Shefiri Küghari (MSK) has also expressed its shock by the recent incident involving NSCN K (Khango), who purportedly ordered Capital Punishment over the Proprietor of KKB Rülho Pvt. Ltd.

“The turn of events, where the NSCN K (Khango) directed for immediate ceasing and demobilization of manpower and machinery across Nagaland on developmental works under the purview of AYO, including that of KKB has a direct blow to the people of Pochury Community and commuters of Kiphire District among others,” stated the MSK.

The organisation Informed that Rülho is undertaking road construction project which is the lifeline of Meluri Sub-Division and Kiphire district, among others. Halting such mega project of a lifeline will only result in adverse affect to its people, viewed the MSK.

“Every Naga has been doing its role of genuine contributions (all forms) since its inception for Nation building. However, all these noble acts have been tarnished over the years due to unabated taxation spree on its people. Mr. Rülho is one of our own Naga brothers and is a responsible and respected citizen in the society who has been doing immense contributions, and is not an anti-Naga. Whereas, such a dastardly order in the cruelest and devilish form of Death Penalty on him in the name of taxation is totally condemned in the strongest term,” iterated the MSK.

The MSK also disapproved the hijacking of Road Project under Meluri Sub-Division which is in progress. “We affirm that no group must disturb any kind of developmental project, such as the ongoing 2-laning road construction at the cost of public lifeline ,” stated the MSK.
