The Western Sumi Hoho has implored the Central Government, Nagaland Government, and all Naga Political Groups to prioritize finding a permanent solution to the protracted Naga political issue which it said is the root cause of all the social issues in the State.

“Further delays could reduce the Naga political issue to a mere law and order problem, disregarding the Naga people’s desire for a dignified resolution,” WSH’s President Shikaho Zhimomi and General Secretary Vikato Shikhu Achumi stated in a press release.

Acknowledging the menace of multiple taxation and other anti-social activities being perpetrated upon the common citizens and especially against the business community, the tribal organisation, along with its frontal organizations extended “full support” to the decision taken by the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) to implement an indefinite shutter down starting today.

“In unity with the DCCI and those impacted by the prevalent issues of taxation and extortion, the Western Sumi Hoho advocates for a collaborative effort to create a prosperous future for Nagaland,” it stated.
