The District Administration Mokokchung has informed that the wildfire which broke out in DEF area Mokokchung today, 26th March 2025 has reportedly been brought under control.

As per the report, the wildfire broke out at around 9 A.M and upon receiving report about the incident, ground operation was carried out by the personnel of SDRF, District Fire and Emergency Services, Assam Rifles, DEF and public volunteers from Chuchuyimpang, Mokokchung, khensa, Ungma, Süngratsü and Mopungchuket villages.

The fire which was spreading towards the nearby residents and DEF Staff quarters has reportedly been brought under control at around 4:30 P.M without any casualty.
