The Witness Music Conference (WMC) in Kiphire drew to an end today. The three-day event had begun on 3 October.
Talking with Nagaland Tribune, the Convenor of WMC, Tethsomong said that Witness Music Conference was an exclusive contemporary platform for youth to revamp oneself spiritually as God’s witnesses and take their singing to a professional level by participating and winning the Witness Music Award.
It aims to be a bridge for the upcoming Christian artists who are passionate and wants to take up their career in singing.
The winners will be awarded with cash prizes of Rs 1,00,000, Rs 60,000 and Rs 30,000 for first, second and third respectively, besides assistance in producing their original songs.
The three judges for the Witness Music Solo Gospel competition were Albert Jingrü, Moasunep EAC, Seyochung and Athrongba.

Taking inspiration from the Bible verse Acts 5:32, the Christian music organisation’s mission is to bring together young people between the age group of 16-32 to revamp their faith and continue to stand as God’s witness at all times through music and scriptures.
“We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”
Tethsomong also shared thar God Showed him the vision to start something like WMC with focus on gospel music.
The core team of WMC comprise of Setongthsing, Atsope, Vilila, Tsosing, Holiba, Lipichum and Atsachem; the co- opted members include Kitoka Sangtam, Lirili and Khumli Sangtam.
United Sangtam Baptist Lithroti Ashimūkhong (USBLA) is the advisor of WMC.
Engineer Sao Sangtam, Dr Apise USBLA Secretary, Rev Imti, Executive Secretary USBLA and Alison, Associate Pastor, Kiphire Town Baptist Lithro (KTBL) was the speakers at the conference.
