An Awareness Lecture on Health, Hygiene and Sanitation was hosted by the Wokha COB 24 Assam Rifles on the 17th of May, 2024 at Santsuo School, Wokha to educate students on the essential practices of maintaining personal and communal health to ensure a healthier school environment.

During the lecture, Nant Kishor, Assistant Commandant Company Commander of 24 Assam Rifles addressed the students on several issues related to hygiene and sanitation, whereby, he emphasised the importance of regular handwashing, proper personal hygiene practices, effective sanitation methods to prevent disease transmission.
Kishor also highlighted the necessity of nutrition in maintaining overall health, and the environmental impact of waste management. The awareness program was successfully attended by 250 students and 17 teachers.
Phyochobeni Khuvung, Principal of Santsuo School, extended her appreciation to the Wokha COB 24 Assam Rifles for providing the students with valuable knowledge on hygiene and sanitation, underscoring its importance for every individual.
