As per the guidelines from the Nagaland Football Association, the Wokha District Football Association conducted trials for selection of players at the Public Ground Wokha on 22 July 2023.

The selection was done for boys in two categories – Under-12 and Under-16.

Altogether, over 300 participants turned up for the trail. The selectors of WDFA picked 20 students for the Under-12 category while 39 players were selected fir the Under-16 category.

The selected players will now form the Wokha district football team and represent the district at the state level. After the state level the selected team will further represent the state at National level.
