The Wokha District Sports Council organised a pre-basic and introductory program for Sepaktakraw at Don Bosco School, Riphyim village in Wokha District on Wednesday.

Highlighting the main aim of the program, Libemo Jami, District Youth Resource and Sports Officer, informed that the event was organised to introduce new games in villages where promising young talents often go unnoticed. Additionally, he mentioned plans for follow-up visits to provide additional training sessions, ensuring that the potential of these hidden talents is fully realized.

The programme was led by Arhoni K Kikon, former Sepaktakraw champion and Khelo India Centre Wokha Badminton Coach Nsungbeni L tungoe.

Later, as part of the initiative sports kits were also distributed to the students.
