The Wokha District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on October 25, in the conference hall of DC, Wokha.

In the meeting, the agenda for issuing land patta for government departments was deliberated, where MLA and Chairman DPDB Wokha, Y.Mhonbemo Humtsoe opined that ways and means needs to be worked out immediately for the uncompensated land occupied by Government offices.

Deputy Commissioner Wokha also the vice chairman DPDB informed the members for applying and obtaining land patta while asserting that land patta would be issued only to those Government departments where there are no legal issues.

Project Director DRDA Wokha, Thungbemo Patton, officially launched the Gram Panchayat Development Plan campaign (GPDP) and informed the members that GPDP was basically for creating awareness in the village level by all the line departments on the existing schemes and projects for economic development and social justice.

The House also welcomed the proposal for establishing common facility center by the Sericulture department where the department was advised for preparing a proposal.

Further, the members also agreed to the proposal of CMO Wokha for setting up of new sub center at Saron colony, Wokha.

Power point presentation was presented by YRO, PHED and Electrical departments highlighting on the achievements and way forward of the departments.

With regard to the suggestion by YRO Wokha for coming up with  aquatic sports at Chubi bridge area ,  DC Dimapur advised for submitting working papers mentioning sourcing of funds.

MLA and Chairman DPDB Wokha, Y.Mhonbemo Humtsoe advised the power officials for containing and overseeing power theft issues with seriousness. He assured to donate 50 watts LED lights from his end for brightening up some corners of Wokha district.

Veterinary and Industries departments were entrusted to present the departmental activities during the next DPDB meeting. The meeting ended with a note of thanks from the chair.
