The Deputy Commissioners of Wokha and Kohima districts have informed Arms License holders in the districts to collect their arms/ weapons from the respective police stations.

The arms/ weapons were deposited during the recently conducted General Election to the 18th Lok Sabha, 2024, during the Model Code of Conduct period.

In a Notification, the DC of Wokha has informed the licence holders to produce proper receipt and collect/get back their Arms License and weapons from their respective Police Station with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, the DC of Kohima informing all the Arms License holders of Kohima district to collect their arms starting from 5th July 2024.
