A one-day Disaster Management Training Programme was organised by the Wokha District Bharat Scouts & Guides in coordination with Home Guards, Civil Defence & State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Medical (CMO Staff) and Youth Resource Department on 8 April 2023 at DC conference hall, Wokha.

Ngongvai E Phom, District Commandant, Home Guards, Civil Defence & SDRF, Wokha, speaking at the program, briefed the S&G to learn and equip themselves and to provide Emergency Support Functions (ESFs) that may be integrated in whole or parts to aid in the response and recovery process. He further insists the participants that they can utilize the improvised method to saves the lives during disasters.

Welcome note, overview and objective of the Disaster Management Training Programme was presented by Libemo Jami, YRO & DSO cum District Commissioner (Scout). Short speeches were delivered by W. Nzanbemo Humtsoe, Sr. SDEO cum District Secy. BS&G.

COVID-19 related emergency response system was presented by CMO Staff, First Aid with special application to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) were presented by Dr. Atheo Murry, Sr. Medical practitioner.

Instructor, Hav. Mhonyamo Humtsoe also demonstrated on bandaging and emergency method of rescue rope.

Earlier, the Disaster Management Training Programme was chaired by K. Abeni Ngullie, District Training Commissioner (Guide).
