The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, has announced that a District-Level Awareness-cum-Campaign on the settlement of unclaimed deposits would be held on December 5 at 1:30 p.m. in the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Wokha.
The campaign is being organized as part of a nationwide initiative launched by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the State Bank of India (SBI) to facilitate the efficient and timely settlement of unclaimed financial assets such as deposits, dividends, interest warrants, pensions, and related entitlements. The objective is to ensure that rightful claimants, whether customers, nominees, or legal heirs are able to access and recover their funds with ease.
The meeting will be attended by key stakeholders, including Village Council Chairmen of concerned villages under Wokha District; representatives from Wokha Town Council ; representatives from GBs Union, Wokha; and representatives from GBs Association, Wokha.

All concerned members have been requested to attend the programme and to actively disseminate the information within their respective jurisdictions. The District Administration has called for the full cooperation of all stakeholders to ensure the success of this important public-oriented initiative.
The campaign is expected to raise awareness at the grassroots level and streamline the process of reclaiming unclaimed financial assets, thereby empowering citizens and strengthening financial inclusion across the district.
