The Women Department of Wokha Village Baptist Church held a Special Ministry Day on August 21 on  the theme “Women in the Changing Times: A Spiritual Perspective” featuring skits and drama plays.

Women Pastor, Mhonyani Kikon Humtsoe, in her address, stated that the role of women in society continues to evolve and that women are now recognised as a vital part of the workforce in all spheres of life. She underscored that the spiritual role of women at home and in the workplace must focus on fostering peace, unity, and a virtuous environment, noting that a woman’s instinct helps shape a healthy society through nurturing, teaching, and devotion within family and community.

Encouraging the women to remain steadfast in faith despite challenges, she called upon them to serve as the heart of the family and be role models in Christian purity.

In the skit and drama competition, B Khel and A Khel of Wokha Village were adjudged first and second winners respectively. The panel of judges included Lily Ngullie Kikon, APRO, Bhandari, Zuchobeni Z Erui, Assistant Professor, WTC, and Ethel Yanthan, Assistant Professor, WTC.
