The mother who was severely injured from the massive landslide in Changchor village yesterday is reported to be in a state of recovery according to her family members. An x-ray scan was carried out at District Hospital Kiphire but a credible result could not be attained. The family members are now getting the assistance of the Assam Rifles in Kiphire for a proper x-ray analysis of the injured person.
Meanwhile, the woman’s son who was also injured in the incident is now fast recovering, sources state.
According to an insider, the District Hospital in Kiphire has no full-time appointed x-ray operators. There is one person working as an x-ray operator at the hospital on contract basis who, according to the source, is said to be irregular in his duties.
The District Disaster Management confirmed to Nagaland Tribune that they have already cleared the site of the landslide and is ever ready to render their service in their capacity to the victim’s family.
