A pop-up store, organized by Women Entrepreneurs, Mokokchung (WEM), started on Wednesday at Imlong Place and will continue on Thursday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The event, coinciding with the Tsüngremmong Festival, features a diverse range of products, all handcrafted and unique.
The pop-up store will showcase items such as cakes, pastries, newspaper-woven utility baskets and home decor, pickles, snacks, crochet flowers and toys, contemporary, fusion, and traditional jewellery and accessories, natural flowers and plants, natural manure, resin combs and key holders, beaded bags, notebooks, fridge magnets, and cups.
WEM, a collective of 17 home-based brands, was formed to encourage entrepreneurship among women and promote self-dependency. The group has previously hosted several pop-up stores and organized a relief fund sales day for the MMC Fire incident at MMC Complex. Additionally, WEM members have participated in various events, showcasing the artistic and creative talents of women through their diverse products.
This pop-up store marks the first time WEM is extending its platform to non-members, providing an opportunity for a broader range of women entrepreneurs to display and sell their products.
