Workshop cum training on GeM functionality held in Kohima

Kohima: GeM aims to enhance transparency, efficiency and Speed in Public Procurement.

A Workshop cum Training on GeM Functionality was organized by the Department of Industries & Commerce in collaboration with the GeM User Facilitator at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Industries and Commerce, Kohima on 12th September 2024.

Director of Industries & Commerce P Tokugha Sema gave the inaugural address which was followed by the Technical Session. Supriti Priya, Trainer GeM, was the main resource person of the Workshop Cum Training. She gave a presentation on GeM overview and benefits and Registration & Procurement process of GeM. This was followed by discussion hour.

GeM is an online platform for public procurement of common use goods and services required by various departments/organisations/PSUs. Launched on 9th August 2016 by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, GeM aims to enhance transparency, efficiency and speed in public procurement.
