The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Invest India, and the Department of Industries & Commerce organized a joint workshop on Regulatory Compliance Burden and Familiarization of Nagaland Single Window System at the Secretariat Conference Hall on Tuesday, DIPR informed.
Chief Secretary J. Alam, delivering the keynote address, stressed the need to facilitate entrepreneurs and businesses as they play a crucial role in advancing the nation and the state. He highlighted the importance of private investment and applauded the Industries Department for reducing bureaucratic hurdles. He noted that the government has become more transparent and efficient through the single window system, making processes predictable and time-bound.
Development Commissioner R. Ramakrishnan explained that the single window system enhances efficiency, saving time for investors in dealing with government procedures, licenses, and approvals. He emphasized that it improves the ease of doing business in the state.
Director DPIIT, Government of India, Supriya Devasthali, emphasized the importance of reducing regulatory compliance burdens to enhance the quality of life and praised Nagaland for the Unity Mall initiative, which promotes the state’s unique products and culture.
According to DIPR, the workshop covered topics such as “reducing regulatory compliance burdens for businesses” presented by Director DPIIT Govt of India Supriya Devasthali and “familiarization of Nagaland single window system (NSWS)” presented by Manager NSWS team, Invest India Devyani. CEO of Ramietech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Tiarenla Jamir discussed the “ease of doing business in Nagaland.”
Commissioner & Secretary Kekhrievor Kevichusa welcomed the participants and provided context for the workshop.
