Workshop on ‘Strengthening Evaluation Practices’ under NECTAR Project underway

Kohima: Examiners, head examiners to be trained to reduce inter-rater variability, improve overall evaluation practices

147 examiners and head examiners of Classes 10 and 12 for four subjects from both government and private schools are participating in a two-day workshop on ‘Strengthening Evaluation Practices’ got underway on 15 October 2024 at the Directorate of School Education and at NBSE office, Kohima.

The workshop is being organised by the Nagaland Education Project – The Lighthouse (NECTAR) which is working with NBSE to strengthen evaluation practices under the Exam Reforms component in an effort towards enabling the shift from rote learning to higher order thinking skills (HOTS) in education.

The Educational Initiatives (Ei) has been onboarded by the project to implement this programme.

Through this event, examiners and head examiners will be trained to reduce inter-rater variability and improve overall evaluation practices in the state.
