World Humanitarian Day was observed today along with community leaders and women at the Daklane Panchayat hall on the theme “Strengthening Global Solidarity and Empowering Local Communities”, which was graced by Kazheli Tungoe, Councilor, Kohima Municipal Council and accompanied by KMC colleague Councilor Thenuso Sekhose.

The dangers of prolonged delay to timely health check-ups only results in consequences which otherwise is avoidable and manageable, she added.

She also emphasized that men attending the program is positive sign to male involvement for the health of the woman.
