World TB Day observed at Tseminyu

World TB Day was also observed at DC’s conference hall, Tseminyu on March 25. The program was organised by the National TB Elimination Program under the theme “Yes, we can end TB led by Bharat, Power by Janbhagidari”.

DC & Chairman TB forum, Tseminyu, Japheth Woch, NCS, acknowledged and appreciation the achievers in different categories such as silver, bronze, and encourage them to strive for higher accomplishments. He also emphasized the importance of discipline in the early treatment process and urged the citizens to undergo testing on time.

District TB Officer, Kohima, Dr. Chibenthung Kithan delivered the significance of the day, He emphasized that the world TB Day is called to action for the global community to unite against TB and said its vitals that we increase our collective efforts to fight this disease through education, economic, early detection, and access to treatment.

The event also marked the launch of 100 Days TB Mukt Bharat campaign by DC and reinforce the collective commitment to eliminate TB through awareness and community participation. During the program, 14 villages achievers were felicitated, 5 village with silver and 9 with bronze.

The program was chaired by Medical Officer, PHC Chunlikha, Dr. Cheyale Kath, who also delivered the vote of thanks.
