World Toilet Day 2024 was observed in Dimapur with a program held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Dimapur under the theme “Toilet: A Place for Peace.” The event was organized by PHED Dimapur Urban & Rural divisions to raise awareness about the significance of sanitation aimed to emphasize the role of toilets in ensuring health, dignity, and harmony in society. The World Toilet Day Campaign 2024 commenced on 19th November and will culminate on 10th December 2024.
The program was graced by the presence of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Zakabo Rotokha who encouraged the department to conduct the campaign successfully.

In addition to it, the ADC also launched the 4th Janjatiyan Gaurav Divas (15th to 26th November 2024). The event aims to promote the socio economic upliftment of the tribal population and to promote the rich cultural heritage of the country by motivating the coming generations. Highlighting that JJM and SBM (G) have played significant role in uplifting the welfare of the rural villagers in the state, Rotokha said the campaign will create awareness on the impact of such welfare schemes for tribal areas.
