Wrestling coaching camp for Asian Championship underway

The Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) with 15 Wrestlers will be participating at the Asian Belt Wrestling Alysh Championship scheduled in Delhi from May 21 to 26, 2025. The team will be part of t’e Indian contingent out of 24 slot in the Senior category of the championship including both male & female. In this regard, intensive coaching camp for the NWA wrestlers is underway at IG Stadium Multipurpose Hall “B”, informed a press statement by NWA.

A short dedicatory program for the camp was organized today with Rev. Vilakiezo Yano, Pastor, Angami Christian Revival Church Council (ACRCC) Mission Centre, Kohima exhorting the wrestlers and invoking God’s blessing for the camping and all future proceedings.

Approximately 30 nations including few countries from Europe & African continents will be part of the championship where Naga Wrestling is expected to be introduced during the championship.
