Yimpang Platoon Post 7th NAP BN inaugurated

The Yimpang Platoon post, 7th NAP BN was inaugurated today at Yimpang village with Deputy Chief Minister, Y. Patton, Home and Borders Affairs, as the Special guest in the presence of MLA Achumbemo Kikon, Chairman, SDPDB Bhandari.

While addressing the gathering, Patton acknowledged the effort of the 40 Assembly constituency which has led to this acheivement. Patton directed that no security personnel  who are into drugs or alcohol should be deployed in the area and reminded that if any security personnel are found implementing such activities will be suspended. Patton also appealed for wildlife preservation and urged that hunting should be stopped. He further assured that as soon as the proposal is sent, necessary action will be taken to provide good road.

In his speech, MLA Achumbemo Kikon appreciated Patton for keeping his word and successfully inaugurating the Yimpang Platoon Post, 7th NAP BN before the festive season. The installation of such outpost is very important as it will protect our people and our land, said Kikon stressing that with the absence of police force, there was no protection resulting in the loss of large number of ancestral land.

He appealed the Commandant to deploy atleast 30 percent security to the outpost for protection of the land and the people.

While narrating about the incident of Oil exploration that took place few months back at Longtsiri where some of the ONGC members were trying  to explore oil without any consent, Kikon observed the absence of security. He stated that there was no police force at Changpang police station when he went to report the issue and urged for more security force around the stretch to take control of such kind of situations. In conclusion, he reminded that the area is so important not only for his constituency or Wokha district but for the entire Nagaland as the area is economically potential.

During the inaugural, Patton unveiled the Plaque while the Dedicatory Prayer was offered by Rev. K. Renphamo Odyuo, Pastor, PBC, 7th NAP Bn. BDI.

The programme was chaired Randanbemo Ezong, NPS. Welcome addresses was presented by Menangmeren, NPS while the vote of thanks was delivered by Sentilong, NPS. Benediction was offered by K.Wilson Lotha, Asso. Pastor, PBC, 7th NAP Bn.BDI. Hav. Etongbemo Kithan, 7th NAP Bn, enthralled the gathering with a special number.
